Payroll is an unavoidable and often inconvenient responsibility, it doesn't have to be. Our TempPaye solution can alleviate the burdens of payroll preparation and PAYE compliance. We provide a cost-effective, efficient, and dependable professional service.

How It Works

Your candidates will be employed by TempPaye. For each candidate we will invoice for the employment costs (employers national insurance, apprenticeship levy and employers pension (where applicable)), plus an administrative fee per timesheet. That’s it, we handle the rest. Let us take the stress out of payroll for you.

Educators

TempPaye is a no-fee, charge or margin product exclusively for educators. We feel strongly that educators should not have to pay to be paid! We pass on a small admin margin for our work to your agency.

Under TempPaye, you receive the full amount of your gross pay rate agreed with your agency or school/college, with no deductions (other than statutory deductions) from gross pay.

Payroll is processed weekly, with payments made on a Friday for work/hours completed and approved for the previous week.

We offer pay advances to educators who are not set up in time for that week’s pay, have missed the timesheet approval deadline, or simply for those times when you want your money a little earlier.

You will be employed on a contract by TempPaye, which is a trading name of Teaching Professionals Limited.

We integrate with your chosen recruitment agency to speed up onboarding. They will provide us with your contact details and the basic information about your assignment, and we will then guide you through set up on our contract management system.

Our contract management system allows you to provide all necessary payroll information, submit your timesheets, and you will also be able to see a record of your assignments with us as well as payslips and all other documents (contracts payslips etc.)

If it is your first assignment with us, we may also need to verify your right to work status using government certified ID verification technology.

As your employer, we are legally required to confirm that you have the right to work in the UK and to ensure we are paying the right person, we need to verify you against an official document and check your address.

To make this quick and easy, we have partnered with a government certified online ID verification platform.

Verification is quick and easy, taking just seconds to complete. You will be sent a link, download an app and then follow the simple onscreen instructions. Ensure you have your passport and a recent proof of address to hand when completing the check.

Nothing. With our temp PAYE solution, you receive 100% of your agreed contract pay rate.

All payroll and employment costs are covered by your agency (including employers NIC's, apprenticeship levy, and any pension costs). You will only have deductions required or allowed by law or contract (e.g. employee NI, income tax or student loan repayments, any overpayments or deductions you are (e.g. charity or additional pension payments).

We provide all required insurances while you are on assignment. As you will be engaged on an overarching contract, you will become eligible for all statutory entitlements with length of service, providing the peace of mind you need.

The best part about being a contract worker is that you can choose when and where you want to work as well as when you want to take some time off.

We pay all our workers an amount each week as holiday pay on top of their hourly rate (currently paid at 12.07%), meaning that for every hour you work, you receive an amount towards holiday pay on top.

This is then paid live to you each time you are paid against a timesheet so that you have the freedom to pick and choose when and how to take your time off at a later date.

Please note that holiday pay will be included in the total contract rate you agree with your agency.

The rate you agree with your recruitment agency is the total contract rate, which will be inclusive of Holiday Pay. We will then split this out to show the amount you are being paid as hourly pay and the amount being paid as holiday pay. These two amounts will make up your gross pay and this will match the total contract rate agreed with your agency.

We will then deduct the required statutory amounts for employees' tax, employees' national insurance, employee's pension (where applicable) as well as any other amounts as advised by you or HMRC (e.g. student loan or attachment of earnings orders).

Yes. We offer an auto-enrolment pension scheme administered by Nest, and you will be automatically enrolled as soon as you are eligible.

Once enrolled, you will have the option to opt-out, but equally, you are able to opt into the scheme sooner if you wish. Please get in touch with us directly for information on your options.

We operate a weekly payroll, paid to you on a Friday and based on timesheets which have been approved by the client you are working for. Provided your timesheet is approved and you are fully registered, you will be paid.

We will work with you to ensure you can still receive some pay. In most instances, we can offer same-day advances provided there is an authorised timesheet due for payment in a future pay run. Please get in touch with us to discuss this further.

We offer an IR35 compliant payroll solution. Provided any expense claims we receive have been approved by your agency or the client you are working for and satisfy the eligibility requirements, these will be paid out to you in full.

We will be required to verify the eligibility of all expense claims received, and where they are not eligible for full reimbursement, we will need to treat these as earnings for PAYE purposes.
